Wedding Makeup FAQ

Even though you are based in Melbourne, do you travel interstate or overseas for weddings?

Yes I do. I am happy to travel to any destination, please contact me to discuss travel and availability.

Do you offer an all day service?

Definitely!  If you require an all day service where I stay with you throughout the day for look changes and touch ups, please enquire for pricing as this will vary slightly from person to person depending on your schedule.  This is usually requested up until the reception.

Will my makeup last all day?

Yes your makeup will last all day, however you will need to touch up your lipstick and maybe blot your t-zone or add a touch of powder.  I will go through all of this with you at your trial.

What happens on the wedding day?

I will come to your location on the wedding day, set up and get ready to roll!  At the trial we will discuss a schedule for the day so that everything runs smoothly and everyone has their time for makeup.  After all of the makeups have been completed we will have a bit of extra time for any touchups before you leave to walk down the aisle!

Do I need to have a trial?

Yes, a trial is highly recommended before the wedding day to ensure you are completely confident with your makeup. When the big day arrives you can relax knowing that everything will be taken care of and that you and your bridal party will look amazing!

What happens at the trial?

Trials are usually held at my home salon in Bentleigh East and take about an hour and a half.  This is the time where we get to meet and I find out exactly what you would like.  If you’re not too sure, I can help you.  I like to take the time to study your face and decide on the colour palette that best suits your complexion.  Every makeup I do varies depending on the look you are after as well as your face shape, hair colour and skin tone.

What products do you use?

I use a range of luxury high-end products such as Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury, Dior, Laura Merciere, M.A.C, Nars, Stila and Tom Ford.  I will choose products that are best suited to your skin type to give the most flawless finish and depending on whether you prefer a matt, velvet, natural or luminous finish to your skin.

Do you do airbrush foundation?

Yes, I do airbrush foundation.  I use a range of silicon based foundations from Temptu.

Do you offer Hairstyling as well?

Unfortunately no I don’t.  It is not my most favourite thing in the world to do!  

Will you do my makeup yourself?

Yes always!  As I work alone you and your bridesmaids will all have makeup done by me.  If the Bridal party is quite large, I will have an assistant there to help me prepare the skin for makeup application.
